The comment that 5 teams might get the second guy on their list in the writeup on McKenzies rankings seems telling as to how the top 10 picks in this draft could really fall in any order. Might see some action in the early first round if the lists really do differ and players that teams had top 5 are still there at 7. After Celebrini it could be interesting.

A part of me hopes that 7 GM's consume enough ether so that Levhsunov falls to us... he's the only one in this class where I look at them and see a clear-cut #1D.

Helenius fills a need. Should drop in our lap.

Catton, Iginla, Helenius, Buium, Yakemchuk. All fantastic prospects that I will not be upset with the Flames selecting if they are available.
For me Catton is the no brainer if available, and from there you can pretty much go any way you want if he's off the board already at #9.

You constantly go on tilt because you love the name so much which is not how anyone in their right mind would actually draft. The BPA at 2 would not be Iginla, no chance. I mean didn't you just say you would take Dickinson over Demidov? Have you even watched these players??

Try addressing the poster I was responding to first then. All he does is personally attack me.

That's not true, and never has been. I reply to you only in very specific circumstances and largely ignore the drivel and attacks you throw back against me.

Sam Cosentino was on Fan960 yesterday, he felt after WC tournament,
Iginla could go, in the range of 5 to 8.
He also said, the wild card are the two Russian players, as to where they will go.

Seems like there will be a good player available at the Flames pick, so that's good to hear

Whoever we pick this year will hopefully also have the talent we pick in 25 and maybe even in 26 to help them out. No one is building the new house alone.
But I think we can all agree we are unlikely to do much better in the standings next season.

Flames fans that do not want Tij for various reasons need to hope he is selected before the Flames pick at 9. While the pressure on Tij would be immense given his last name the pressure would be significantly higher for a prospect the team took over Tij if both are available.
Say they pick Catton, Buium, Yackemchuk, etc over Tij the fanbase will not be happy if that player is not clearly better than Tij

How about everyone stop being so combative, everybody has there opinions and reasons to want a prospect, in the end of the day it's not worth fighting over.
