Lineup is a bit perplexing.....Martin and Tulo have amazing numbers against Tillman. Both should be ahead of Bautista imo.

Last year Bautista hit the biggest hit in 20 years... and he is a well-respected veteran. I'm not upset about this order at all!
I imagine we'll see Upton and Pompey in this game.

You gotta go with the numbers in this situation.....its a one game playoff after all.
Jose can still try and bag some homers in the 6 hole but personally I'll take the better all around bats for this instance.

What are either of these 2 better at? They are lower in OBP and SLG. Martin has a lower average and Tulo is only .20 better.
Not to mention Jose has actually hit the ball a few times the last 2 weeks.
EDIT: Just saw the numbers vs Tillman, assume that was what you were talking about!

Only change I would make is Saunders in RF and Jose at DH. Although, I can understand the decision. If you want to pitch hit for Saunders, you don't have to worry about replacing the pinch hitter in the field.

I believe you can PH fine. It is only if the DH needs to play another position you loose it. But I may be wrong.

Yeah I know, that's why I understand the idea of Saunders at DH. You can pinch hit for him, and not have to worry about who will play RF after.

Under 2 hours to go, good luck Jays fans! I'm hoping for you guy's to win tonight as I would love to watch a series against the Rangers. I'm pretty lucky that the Sox haven't had to play in one of these one game wild cards, because I cannot imagine how stressful this would be... But as a neutral observer I love it.

When the MLB announced the new wildcard format, I was ecstatic. The Bluejays were firmly in their 22 year drought and it gave the team just that much more of a chance to make it. I remember saying at the time how incredible it would be for them to get to be a part of that wildcard game, and how unimaginably insane it would be to actually host it and see that crowd explode.
Well, in the meantime they won the division and had a great playoff run. But for me - that doesn't lessen the importance and unreal feeling that they get to play in this game.
For the only pro sports team I can say I've been a lifelong fan, this is special. Yes, expectations went up after last year and to some this understandably is a disappointment they even have to play in this game, but to me and I'm sure a few others this is pretty damn cool.
Now may the beers flow and the heart attacks commence.

If you had to put your DH out into the field, then you lose it and the pitcher (or pinch hitter) has to hit. Happened in a couple games this year to the Jays.

I like the approach of Stroman the starter as opposed to Liriano (rely on the vet if things don't go right). I'd have preferred Happ, but the SP staff has been good. I'm just concerned if the run support shows up.
Oh, and I hate the dirtbag Showwalter.

I'm getting nervous. Can't remember having this feeling since the Flames were last in the playoffs.
