What are the odds we get another Tkachuk esque player at 16?

Doubt Kostin is there when the Flames pick anyways. Pretty sure McPhee will grab him with 13 or 15.

If that happens one of Vesalainen or Anderson is the for the Flames. Win win win. 16 is actually a really sweet spot to be in this year.

I'll reiterate my prediction: tippet drops and is grabbed by the flames

Woah that would be a far drop from most of the predictions:
http://www.mynhldraft.com/2017-draft...draft-rankings
7 of these 12 have Tippett going 4th-6th. Though Craig Button has him the lowest at 23rd.

If Treliving is looking at defenceman, who else takes Välimäki before Foote?

Anyone else have this bad feeling? Im a bit nervous to see what we do. Not just the 16th pick but I have a feeling we may be involved in a trade. Maybe trading down or up. Maybe moving something to recoup lost picks.

Tod Button was just on the Fan960.
-mentioned he thinks the top 10 are all fairly equal and he could see them going in any order
-said given the good young goalies we have we probably wouldn't take one unless one fell. and since we don't have a 2nd/3rd its unlikely one of the best ones will be available to us and therefore we're probably not going to take one.
I'm sure there were some other interesting points but those stood out to me.

i am hoping for any from this group.
Tolvanen, Vesalainen, Suzuki... i doubt Yamamoto falls this far
but we'll see... tough to project, so its definitely better, imo, to draft to hit homers as opposed to 'safe' players

I doubt Yamamoto goes before 16 personally although anything can happen. Tolvanen is no guarantee to go before our pick either.
Why so focused on small forwards though? I gather you think they are the potential home runs while the bigger players are safer? I'm not sure that's an accurate characterization
Almost no chance we take Yamamoto with us already having Phillips and Gaudreau. I could be wrong. I think teams can only have so many of those small, skilled guys. I guess CHI agrees :P

Sounds like they've got forwards at the top of their list.
