Crowchild I can understand. The stretch between 12 Mile Coulee Road and 24th Avenue is wide open, nice overpasses and merges, etc. and 80 works nicely.
Once you get into that middle section with the lights, narrowing, no shoulders, etc. I can see why it drops through there.
Stoney, however, was built from scratch to be 100 (or more, probably) consistently, which makes the speed drops frustrating.
Southbound Stoney as you approach the Bow River is another one of my
favourite things - a lane ending on the left on a major highway. Nonsense, IMO.
