Lewis benched Ross too after one fumble

Most good coaches send the player right back out there and give them the ball to get that confidence back right away, especially a rookie

Instead, they kept a legit deep threat with great speed on the bench, who would have been getting single coverage because AJ needs the double, and the offense was garbage...

They have talent too. Green , Ross, Eifert, Erickson, Mixon, hill, Bernard

Dalton isn't great but he shouldn't be this bad either. They badly need a new offensive scheme or coordinator, Hue left and it's just gone downhill. Maybe you give AJ a chance he has shown some promise, but I think it's a coaching issue

I mean this is kind of where we're at with NFL QBs, that AJ McCarron, he of a whopping 119 career pass attempts, is viewed as promising. But when you watch a game last night where the QB play is putrid, yeah 119 attempts where a guy doesn't look like garbage is promising. Also Watson kind of reminds me of Vince Young, not as bad throwing the ball, but really bad mechanics (slow wind up throwing motion), but dangerous as a runner so that'll be of benefit to the Texans. But it does look like another wasted season for the Texans, they should be doing whatever it takes to lure Romo out of the booth.

I think so, yes. I watched the entire Browns-Steelers game and I saw good things from the Browns ... and that was without Garrett. Their OL was bad in that game, but should normally be decent. They have better coaches too. Hue Jackson is a great coach and Gregg Williams as DC isn't too shabby either.

Bengals are at Lambeau next week. Their season will over very early.

Or they could just wait for the Chiefs to give Alex Smith away next year.

Disagree on Watson, his mechanics are really good.

They were praised coming in to the draft too

Quote:
Watson is a very good athlete. He excelled as a runner in 2015 (1,105 yards, 12 TDs) before developing into more of a pocket thrower in his final year. He has a quick, smooth release and an over-the-top motion
he has issues recognizing coverage, let to too many turnovers. But if he can figure that out he has a high ceiling.

Also I think the idea that QB play is so bad compared to the past is all member berries

just looking at qb stats from 10 years ago

in 2016

the 20th highest YPA was 7, the 20th highest completion percentage was 61%, 20th most yards thrown was 3500

in 2006, the 20th for those was 6.52, 58%, and 2600

I have to admit he has an odd looking release. Doesn't look like he has a lot of zip on his passes. I don't think that means he can't become a good NFL QB but he looks like he's going to need a lot of work as they aren't going to face many inept offenses like last night and 10 points isn't going to cut it most of the time. The bottom line is if the Bengals offense was even average we are discussing a Bengals win today and how putrid the Texans offense looked.

Exactly, because if you were drunk you might have accidentally changed the channel at least.

In the aftermath of the first two games, the Bengals have fired their OC Ken Zampese.

Shaw no longer offers NFL Sunday Ticket apparently. What subscription options are there?

DAZN is the only other legal option. I have the one month free trial and I have not been impressed at all. The games are on 1 minute delay, streams are choppy, and quality is definitely not HD. Hopefully it improves or NFL gives us another option in Canada

Over/under on the chance the Steelers try to injure Bradford's knee if he plays?

I know a lot of people dislike Rex Ryan and really hated hi in the booth on Monday night.

I have to say though that he has been fantastic in the studio breaking stuff down and explaining scenarios. He has a healthy dose of self deprecating humor as well.

Really good addition to the ESPN line up IMO.

Joe Thomas has played 10,000 consecutive snaps. He's never missed a play since coming into the league in 2007.
Incredible.

Cook and McKinnon are going to get a ton of work running the ball today.
