If they don't win the division, and don't make the conference finals, they drop to wherever they drop to

Well if they do not win the division and it is a perfect world for the Flames pick (all 4 wildcard teams make the conference finals) there would be the 4 conference finalists, 4 division winners and Colorado, Carolina and the Bruins picking above them (11 teams) so I guess the best that pick could be is 21st. Losing the division almost certainly makes that pick better because it brings the 2nd place team in the other three divisions into play. If the Oilers win the division I feel pretty confident in saying that the worst that pick would be from a Flames perspective would be 25th with it likely being even better. The Canucks win the division and the pick is likely 28 or 27.

But you are right, my math was wrong. Either way, I do not have a problem with the Oilers winning the division.

I love how they talk about individual points are not important and it’s all about winning games. Then McPoints is on the ice in that situation when there is no reason for him to be, other than getting his McTrophies.

Mark Jankowski has 4 goals, 10 points, and is +9 in his last 10 games. Bit motivated since coming up from the AHL.

Must be so frustrating being a Sens fan. Go on an absolute heater just as you're eliminated from playoffs.

A pain we know all too well.

Staal with the second period shorthanded goal, 1-0 Hurricanes after forty minutes. Kochetkov is making some great saves.

He might actually end up being the best player in the 2012 draft.

The Flyers are losing 4-1 to the Blackhawks. Coach Tortorella is going to go on a tirade!

Well that’s what happens isn’t it? Playing free and easy because the pressure’s off, season outcome determined, plus young kids in the lineup trying to make a name for themselves.

MacLean couldn't wait to talk about McLottery's 3 points claiming he's now tied with MacKinnon and Kucherov for the league lead.

Problem is his math is like his personality, total crap.

Jets have been a huge black hole of suck lately. Ripe for a 1st round exit. Wouldn't be surprised to see them fall into a wildcard spot.

'Hawks do Detroit a favor and, absolutely, smoke the Flyers, in Philly, 5-1. The Flyers deserve a Torts meltdown. You cannot be dropping points at home against an also ran, and their effort was pretty lame.
