The Stamps outdraw the Flames right now unless you are talking about overall attendance where the Flames have 41 home games compared to 9 for the stamps.

What are the ticket dollar ranges for each team?

I'm sure the Flames are higher but he was referring to the number of people.

I realise there is some inherent bias in posting on a Flames fan site, but please. Someone post a picture of the flames rally in 2004 versus the Stamps in 2008. This is a hockey town.

Stampeders this year for single game tickets ranged from $32-$97, with the majority of the seats being around $79-97
Flames range from $32-$242, with the majority of seats around $100-$155

Well, the Stamps and Flames are an equally disappointing team.
I don't think Calgarians put their kids in organized football or play "street football" anywhere near the numbers of hockey
That's an obvious.
Looks pretty trolley to me

Looks like a troll twerk circle going on here. Weak comment for sure.
Here is an article on stamps attendance woes from this year.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgar...wins-1.2021573
Meanwhile the bottom feeder Flames are ranked 6th in average attendance for the year.

Enough said, dont feed the trolls

C'mon, you're better than that. You don't have to join the troll party
Calgary is a hockey town, it isn't even questionable. You just have to look at the headlines, the ticket availability, the jersey sales, how much people are willing to spend, fan interaction. Everything is Flames first, all others second.
I don't know, maybe we can ask the fellas over at CalgaryBall what they think?

No they don't, that is a ridiculous statement. Did the Stamps sell out all their games this year (or…any year)? No? Well that means the Flames are outdrawing them as they're at 100% of tickets sold and the Stamps are probably somewhere around 80%.
And let not forget the Stamps were the best team in the league this year, and as they got better, the attendance got worse. Here is an article that discusses it:
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgar...wins-1.2021573
The CFL isn't even in the same realm as the NHL in Canada and the Stampeders aren't even close to the same realm as the Flames with regards to popularity in this city.
If you want an interesting question it would be to ask, who/what is more popular in Calgary, the Hitmen/WHL or the Stampeders/CFL? That one would probably be pretty close.

I count 5 glaring errors with this post... OK maybe 4 glaring errors and 1 difference of opinion.
I'd flesh it out, but based on the content of the post I am certain a reasoned argument would fall on deaf ears

Hey finally a thread where it's acceptable to say the CFL sucks.
Can't believe that some people are so tied up to that bush league.
Was forced to go to a couple Esks games with friends this year; we ended up spending most of our time downstairs in the concourse.

So the Flames farm team would outdraw the Flames then?

I actually REALLY miss the Vipers for that reason. It was just an awesome excuse to have some drinks and hang out outside. Saw Jose Canseco once, but I can't tell you if we ever won a game.

The largest crowd Mcmahon Stadium has seen since the 2009 Grey Cup, was an NHL game. And had they put in 60,000 seats, they would have all been sold. And it was -25 that day.
Give the Flames an Arena that will hold 35,000 people, and there would be 7 or 8 games a year they would easily sell out. Drop prices to CFL levels, they would sell out most of them.

Every thread in this forum that so much as mentions the CFL inevitably ends up with a "CFL sucks" comment in it, this thread is no different. As for your reluctant attendance at Commonwealth Stadium this year, none of us could give a s***.
