I hate the Pilers as much as the next bloke, but he really did hold his own. He landers a couple good shots. He didn't lose that bout. Maybe he didn't win, but he definitely didn't lose.

Talbot seems to struggle after long breaks, it was the same thing off the Allstar break, and he did follow that up with 3 other good games. I think the real issue is that the Oilers have scored 4 goals in game action over the past 5 games. Despite their plethora of Uber talent up front. McDavid hasn't been the driver of the offence that he was, and the secondary parts are not stepping up. I remember when Samwise Gagner had to resort to fighting to get himself going. It was his first step on the path to buyout land, cleansing of the Oiler stench and eventually his ressurection. Maybe the Tenderness is about to embark on the same path himself.

The rules of this thread are pretty simple:
1. Say disparaging things about the Oilers.
2. Post embarrassing and ridicule-worthy things about the Oilers.
3. Laugh at Oilers fans who hilariously rush to defend their pathetic team.
If you are a Flames fan the one thing you NEVER want to do is to say or affirm anything positive about the Oilers in this thread. If you want to pat Ryan Nothing-Happens on the back for "holding his own" in a fight with another, smaller non-fighting player, then post it in the OOT thread.

1. I didn't say anything nice about the Oilers. I simply said a thing about the Oilers. It was neither nice, nor mean.
2. The RNH fight isn't embarrassing or ridicule-worthy. He didn't play the bongos on him, and he didn't square off and fall on his ass. They simply fought.
3. I am more than willing to laugh at Oilers fans. I do it everyday.
Again, I didn't say anything positive about the Oilers. No need to pick arbitrary fights and draw imaginary lines in the sand defining what does or doesn't make a Flames fan.

Much like when opposing fans used to rip the mid-2000's Flames for Kiprusoff's god like play. At the end of the day, he was part of the team and a big reason why we were a perennial playoff team.
That's right when I moved to Edmonton, when Kipper was prime Kipper. I used to get beaked if I own either an Iggy or Kipper jersey, because there's literally no-one else. Funny, because since the Oilers drafted McDavid, I literally don't think I've seen a piece of Oilers paraphernalia on a random person that wasn't McDavid. Is that the only jersey the Oilers store sells, errr...
