I have a work from home job and usually take the dog out for a walk at lunch to break up my day. Most days during that 20 minute walk I see two Skip the dishes orders bring dropped off. Tonight on a neighborhood Facebook post I saw the mistakenly deliver a 7-11 order to the wrong house...have not seem anyone admit to bring the guilty party who ordered that. I'm amazed how much it's used. People who forgot their kids lunch sending a happy meal through that is no surprise at all.

I've never used it...they have Draisaitl promoting them...so I surely won't now.

I pretty much never use food delivery apps as I'm too cheap to want to pay the extra service fees. But when they send me the 50% or more off promo codes I will find something to order.

This puts a strain on school resources. Delivery drivers are not allowed in the school at all / only to the main office. So someone from the main office presumably has to either meet the driver at the door or in the office. Either way that food then needs to be delivered to the child. Seems like a waste of resources to me, and schools are already strapped as it is.

I was really looking forward to reading the response to this.

Thinking about an old job today.
I remember when we first added an e-mail contact to the web page. This was about 1997.
In the first 6 weeks, we received 4 e-mail.

crazy how quickly that all changed. Heck, we were not even online until 1996.

Is it just me, or does it seem more common to see a 6 character license plate than it is to see a 7 character license plate starting with the letter A?

There's plenty of 7 character license plates starting with the character B and C, but I don't seem to recall seeing an A one in quite a while.

The A series was skipped because the early part of the series was used for handicapped plates.

I would not necessarily have assumed the bolded was true from your posting history.

Crazy how long it's taken credit cards to get rid of the embossed information on a credit card.
Especially considering those card imprinters haven't been used for many years.

Neat! So that's why I don't ever see one.

Also funny to note:

Quote:
Alan Bones reports that plates recently issued in the BSE series have been recalled because of the connotation with mad cow disease. The beef cattle industry is an important part of the economy in the province. Those plates had been issued in more than a half dozen communities. Rod Gough reports seeing two cars displaying BSE series plates, but it is unknown if the recall was mandatory.

I assumed part of the reason the numbers were so raised was to address the numbers fading out. I believe the current cards are still embossed somewhat. Just not as extreme as they used to be to be able to be used on a card imprinter.

My Mom would have turned 74 today. I miss her every day. She was a good person. After she beat pancreatic cancer the first time she volunteered for cancer connection for years, helping others cope and being there for people after they've been given the worst of news. I try not to think of it as being a cruel and unfair thing that my Moms cancer had to come back, rather, how lucky I was to have her healthy and dancing at my wedding.

It doesn't get any easier as time goes on, but I wouldn't want it to.

Clearing sidewalks and driveways with fire (flame throwers, blow torches etc) should be a common thing.

Clearing snow/ice with a torch takes a lot longer than you would expect. Especially when it’s colder than the melting point.

Yeah I have a torch and as fun as it seems, it’s not fast.
