"They can score 5 in the 3rd! They're THAT good!!"

They couldnt score 5 over the course of all 3 periods. You're an idiot. There's the door. You're an idiot and you're fired.

Bye Elliott. The door will hit you.

They were notified in advance that this wasn't an 'Oilers dicksucking' competition right?

The only one not slobbering over the Oilers was Bieksa.

Think about this for a moment.

The 'Voice of Reason' was...wait for it....Kevin Goddamned Bieksa.

The rest of them should be fired. Hell. You could probably hire 4 or 5 actual decent journalists for the cost of a Friedman or McClean.

I loved how the entire team played last night. Kadri on Kane was awesome. Coleman on McDavid was awesome. Huberdeau using his size and playing with an edge, awesome. Hanifin, awesome. Vladar, awesome. Fourth line, awesome.
Sportsnet and Ron MacLean, not awesome.

Kadri getting his pound of flesh after the classic where Kane was spewing big talk while mic'd up was pretty enjoyable.

Both players are getting up there but Kadri is by far the more effective player today. All Kane has is his big mouth.

RNH put the nothing in "nothing happens" last night.

0 shots, 0 hits, 3/9=33% on the dot

And quietly Zary may have been one of the best on the ice. I love how simple his game is. Reminds me of a Toews or Langkow. Simple, 2-way, effective.

They have scored 5 goals in the third period once this season, and 4 goals three times.

Funny enough, only one team has given up 5 goals in the third period twice this season... the Oilers.

I'd be willing to bet a fair chunk of those goals were on the PP.

I said it in the E=NG thread...those brown pants really emphasize the 'ass sweat.'

Like..."This is where his crack is and hoo boy...is it moist. There is a dampness there not seen since the ages of Moria..."

Surprisingly, no. In all the games where they scored at least 4 in the third period, none were on the PP and only one was an EN.

So, am I the only one that was gob-smacked by the lack of any discussion about Ekholm's hit on Huberdeau? That looked like textbook boarding to me.

Yeah I thought the refs on a few occasions went out of their way to make to coincidental. That play. the Huberdeau hit on RNH and the McDavid Andersson squirmish. Edmonton had a 6th player on the ice. All three of those the FLames should have come out with the PP. Even perry getting the unsportsmanlike vs the instigator when he went after Weegar (even though all that would have been negated if they called the boarding on Ekholm). Even late they should have thrown Kane and Nurse out a lot sooner if they want to keep things from getting away.

It won't happen but Kane should at the very least get some fines for the blindside crosscheck on Kadri or the attempted spear. Both plays plays the puck no where near.

Can't remember the exact quote, but right after MacLean's claim that the Oilers could score 5 in the 3rd, Bieksa said something like "nah, this game's over", which looked like it really annoyed MacLean.

I'll say it again and I'll keep saying it.

Coleman was an absolute monster last night and I absolutely LOVED IT.

Youngsters? Take notes.

Nah man...it was Friedman. MacLean agreed with him, but Friedman brought it up.
