If I’m Vancouver I go after right away tomorrow. I can see him throwing a tantrum and taking a bunch of penalties.

He'll throw a tantrum and Canucks get called a bunch of penalties.

IMO it should have looked something like this:
Zadorov gets a fine - third man in, after the whistle
McDavid gets a fine - two handed chop, after the whistle
Soucy gets a game - unintentional, but it's a stick the face and you have to control your stick
Hyman gets a game - intentional stick to the face and you have to control your stick
That sends a clear message to both teams that the after whistle stuff won't be tolerated and you shouldn't be hitting people in the face with your stick. Instead one team got the message and the other team can do as they please.

Because the Oilers are so pathetic, that they need all the help they can get from all levels of hockey to have a CHANCE of winning a game. For a roster that has two players that can play at such a high caliber, that's embarrassing that the rest of the team can't do anything to contribute.
I wonder if McDavid will get the same level same level of privilege/attention when he moves on to another team after still not being able to win a cup in Edmonton. Ideally, he would move to a team that would feature the most depth he has had in his career, which would be a very low bar to clear.
I was thinking that Edmonton would walk through Vancouver, but Silvos is doing enough to not sink his team, and the Canucks have gotten the goals they've needed. For Edmonton to accomplish the goals they're aspiring for, this showing indicates they're not even gonna get close. Edmonton is no good.

Looking forward to the end of the era of placating the oilers because of McDavid.
They simply don't deserve all the favours, winks and schedule glitches dropped their way from above.
Going to spoil a team for a decade? Pick anybody else but those pukes, please.

The Oilers are usually gifted 4 power plays before the game starts.
I go back to the LA series. Outshot 35-13 and somehow LA had 1 pp and the Oilers had 1 scored and won.

Don Sweeney is pissed and wants officials available to the media after games.
Other leagues do it, except the NHL.

Hopefully the Canucks can overcome the clear bias and win this series, but it’s going to be tough. No way this is the end of the preferential treatment for the Oilers.

In a way this might actually be good for the Canucks, a lot of successful playoff teams have the underdog/us against the world mentality. Could see this having that type of effect on the team.

Couple of "Flames fans" I've talked to absolutely hate the Canucks and lean towards wanting the Oilers to win. This sounds ludicrous to me because in my opinion, no Flames fan shall ever want the Oilers to win.
Wondering if mods would setup a poll on how many people on this site prefer Canucks vs Oilers.
Me = Canucks
Canucks 1
Oilers 0

The league is a joke. So sick of Parros. For someone that is highly educated he sure makes dumb decisions.

They are no longer Flames fans. We don’t want them, they can become full time Oiler fans.

May be he's just a puppet, doing what the head of the league tells him to do?

The really casual fans maybe. They don't get the rivalry. I'd be shocked if 1 single Flames fan from this board was rooting for the Oilers over the Canucks.
Might be a few neutrals though.

Don't waste my time coming up with reasonable scenarios, based on what happened, that will never actually occur.
This is the NHL, friend.

I don't understand how can Flames fan wants the Oilers to win. Doesn't matter how much they hate the Canucks, that hatred can NEVER be more than the hatred toward effing Oilers.
