Don't tell them about Legacy and Belmont. May as well live in Okotoks.

Oh, I knew about Chapparal and know people who live there. I just hadn't heard of those two...not that I keep up on these things all that well.

Did the MEC in Trinity Hills ever open? I thought when they closed the South location they were still planning to go ahead with Trinity?

They opened a Starbucks in Belmont, Yorkville and Legacy, and by gum it put them on the map.

Nope. Never ended up opening. So the south location has also closed? What a mess that company became.

I'm not sure if the Seton one ever re-opened post-COVID.

Pretty hard to raise equity during covid when you're a coop.

Not sure they are actually a Co-op any more. Their branding is Mountain Equipment Company now.

Where did you read about the Cluck and Cleaver opening there? That would be awesome.

There is a sign on the front door saying Cluck & Cleaver is coming soon. As someone else mentioned above it looks like the Starbucks just moved into Save On next door

I know the Starbucks moved into the old ATB location so they have a drive through now. Will have to swing by and see, would be an interesting sort for cluck and cleaver. Pretty small.

They closed the Starbucks on Memorial and Edmonton Trail...it's amazing how many Starbucks have been closed downtown. Basically, unless you frequent the +15 system or are near a hotel, you ain't getting Joe-squat from Starbucks in the core and surrounding areas.

I was the in the first batch of baristas that opened the Kensington location in 1996. Have been a Starbucks disciple ever since, but with all these closings and the focus on profit over community coffee...I'm out. It made me buy an espresso machine at home.

I'm trying to picture the one on Memorial and Edmonton Tr. Not the old General Hospital site?

Right behind the gas station, between the NB and SB lanes

The Memorial one was overrun with vagrants.

They closed down far too many in the DCD. Analog and Deville are better anyhow.

I was not even aware there was a Starbucks at Memorial and Edmonton Trail. I associate that corner with the Centex gas station that is almost always one of if not the highest priced in the city. As such, I never stop there.

EDIT: according to gasbuddy, most stations around downtown are 145.9¢/L to 148.9¢/L. That Centex? 149.9¢/L

It shared its parking lot with the Centex.
