Stupid team horseshoe in 5. Sharks are too old and banged up to go further.

Oil in 6. As most mention, SJ is banged up and missing two key key components. Even if they return, they won't be the same.

Oilers probably wrap this one up in 5. Sharks are injured and McDavid is red hot.

Makes me want to puke how much love the oilers are getting from NHL.com right now. Its like the black sheep of the family has returned and everyone is trying to be all PC and make them feel loved, despite the fact they have been a bad smell for so long.

Sharks in 7! McNugget and friends establish a new tradition of losing playoff rounds at home in their shiny new building.

As much as I hate the Oilers I think they will sweep the sharks.
I don't see them being all that better and as much as McDavid is hated this kid is turning the league on its ear.
OILERS IN 4

Thornton has been downgraded to day to day. Even if he plays he's not likely to be better than 75%. The stars are aligning for the Oilers here.

All it is going to take is Talbot going down and the Oilers are shark meat. I don't like SJ's chances here but perhaps thenpkayoff battle tested team can take out the young squad with no experience? I see Rogers Place being a tough place to play and if the Oilers win the first 2 games it will be a quick one done in 4-5 is my guess.
My suggestion? Crash the net

Guess I haven't been following this, but ban someone because they're an undercover Oiler fan? Isn't it more based on whether they say something offensive?
Anyway, I have to admit it's a little more interesting with Oilers in the playoffs. I like the Sharks in any case, but its always good to have a strong rooting interest in another series.

I've been a fan of this team since I was 7 years old and they entered the NHL. I've lived and died with the highs and lows over the years, and fans have truly experienced the best and worst - from being maybe the last true dynasty in the NHL to quite possibly the worst run pro franchise in North America. I never imagined, when they skated off the ice after game 7 in Carolina, that it would be 11 years before I was able to watch another playoff game. I know when they skate onto the ice tonight, the national anthem is sung, and the puck is dropped I'll have a sizable lump in my throat.
Flame away - I don't expect any different (!!) - but I'm definitely going to take a moment tonight and relish the fact that the long journey through the desert is finally over.

For 1 year, anyway.

Enjoy it man. I know I'm excited to see the game tonight, can't imagine how you feel. It's not your fault management was awful.
