Assuming everything that looks to be the case is never repudiated, I hope that this thread can be preserved without being locked or deleted. In my own experience, it was finding a thread just like this one which ended up saving a bunch of my friends and colleagues from getting really conned.

A couple months ago, a coworker was going hysterical about the possibility of getting laid off. I told her the "PIMking" story. In comparison to his situation, things werent that bad for her and even if she did hit rock bottom, like being homeless, there's guys like Ian out there who didnt quit even though he's living paycheck to paycheck. I elaborated too that we all pitched in to help him get a place. After reading this story, I'm too embarrassed to tell her that it was all a lie and I handed my money over to a con man.

I donated to you, I defended you on this forum and I even used your story to boost morale in my department. It makes me sick to my stomach that someone would stoop so low to make up a sob story and take advantage of the good will of fellow CPers

Agreed. And hopefully we'll get some kind of explanation from PIMking via the mods. In the absence of a response there's a danger that we overstep and draw bigger conclusions than we ought to.

He's going to make things worse for himself by not sending an explanation through to the mods. At the very least an apology. He's not going to get much forgiveness at this point but a well worded and honest apology/explanation would go a long way.

There's already a lynch mob forming and any reputation he has now will be gone. Especially if people start contacting employers and other acquaintances.

I'll echo what many others have said and just say that I'm obviously upset to learn about this considering I originally donated to Ian, which if you're reading this and this all turns all to be true, you're a d0cheschnozzle for "stooping so low" to do this. I am not mad at the amount of money I donated, but rather that the good people of CP were "taken for a ride" (given the information that has been provided) and that's obviously not cool.

On a side note: I am lurker on this site and don't post as much as I should, but I was not surprised at how many people donated originally. I've been here long enough to know there are some quality people on this forum and it's amazing to see how great of a community this is. Just shows that Flames fans are some of the best people in the world

for months he's been posting information about his personal life (true or not) regarding his job, living accommodations, workout routines, and relationships. I think it's fair game to provide some clarity to that information.

People who donated to him have a right to be angry and deserve to get an answer from him

Okay, chill out this will be my final post here.

I will give you the whole story and I'm sure you will pick it apart.

Basically everything started in August 2014. The gm at the hotel was fired after a failed inspection. I took over as interim bases and passed the inspection a month later. During that time the F&B manager was let go and we didn't have a full time housekeeping manager because ours was out on maternity leave. I put my resume in for the full time GM position that I figured that I earned it with a few months of hard work and little time off. Well I wasn't even given an interview and they hired a guy and he was set to start and quit before his first day. I did this all on my AGM salary of 26k and didn't get anything more for that time worked. The regional boss must have thought that I would just sit in and continue to be the GM for agm salary and literally kill myself with no time off.

The hotel next door was needing a an AGM, the GM came over and talked to me for a few mins and took the position with a 4k pay raise. This was the first major mistake, after two weeks of being there and that GM was fired for stealing and having illegal aliens working there. So I was basically left to rot and started to look for other jobs.

In late November I was interviewed for a GM position in Birmingham and got the job. I was excited, I busted my ass to get to that point but I also jumped at the first offer which was a awful mistake. From the beginning the owner who were local but from india were nothing but resistant to anything I did. they had over 100 W2s (end of year tax forms) from former employees that needed to be sent out! They wouldn't pay anyone over Min wage, and wouldn't allow me to hire anyone with previous experience.

In Feb 2015 my hotel was the number one ranked Hampton inn in north america according to Hiltons guest satisfaction surveys. The hotel made 12% YOY and I thought everything was going good in my work life so to say. Then I caught the owners changing hours on time cards to avoid paying overtime. I told them in a meeting that wasn't right and that they need to pay the employees. It became a very heated conversation ending when I told them if I caught them doing it again that I'd turn them into the state. that was the very end of Feb. During that time I was having severe pain in my legs when I ran or skated for more than a minute or two. I went to a few doctors and then their recommended specialists to find out that surgery was going to be required. I told my owners that there will be a period of time that I wont be able to work at the hotel, some admin stuff I could do from home. they didn't say much about it and March 3rd I was unceremoniously fired. Their excuse was "they dont
need me anymore" whatever that meant.

So I filed for unemployment, I tried to get a job before the surgery but when they found out that I wouldn't be able to come to work for a few months they obviously didn't hire me. The owners denied the unemployment and I then had to do an appeal.

During the appeal hearing they caught her (the owner) in a few lies. They ruled in my favor but asked me if I was looking for a job. I told them yes but due to the scheduled surgery I wasn't offered anything. The state told me that since I wasn't able bodied that I couldn't claim unemployment, so basically they lost the appeal but won because I couldn't claim.

My surgery for my legs was scheduled on 4/3/15 But on 4/1/15 my gallbladder decided to not work anymore and had to have emergency surgery on the gallbladder.

At that time I still was covered under my insurance for the month, but with that being said the ex gf set up a go fund me in my name for medical bills help since the insurance was completely screwed up. Something happened where which I just paid the deductible off right before the gallbladder surgery but the contract changed and my deductible went to $1500 so I was in a real tight spot.

on 4/7 I had the surgery on my legs. If you dont remember I had my neck fused in feb 2014 too. So I go home and have thigh highs and some serious pain.

a few days later the exs phone was going crazy with texts and I've never really been a "look at her phone" type of person. But I did and thankfully I did, it was some guy that was saying how much he misses her and when will the next time that I wont be around so they can meet up again. I confronted her and she didn't admit it at first until I told her I read the text messages. Apparently she was sleeping with him at the hotel room I got for her when I had my neck surgery in Birmingham so she didn't have to drive home.

I was torn up, I was with her for 10 years, we were "trying" to have a kid, she supposedly took out the IUD birthcontrol and nothing. I brought up being tested to see if there is a problem only to have her go crazy! after finding out that she cheated on me multiple times that it made sense that she never stopped BC and I would have found out if we got tested.

So I hobbled upstairs and packed my suitcases with clothes and put them in my car and left. I had no idea where I was going to go but I knew I couldn't be there anymore because I would have done something stupid if I did.

I went to gainesville and used my little savings I had and help from mom to get a sublease student apartment for a few months to heal. I got beyond real messed up from the whole thing. My mom stopped talking to me because the ex told her I was beating her which I didn't then when I went up there to put the dog down the new bf moved in a week after I left. I was shocked and really even more torn up from it.

When I got back to Gainesville I woke up to the police knocking on my door saying that someone turned me in for being suicidal because I posted a picture of my pain meds just shocked how much I had to take. (ex did it) well I had to spend a day and half in the nut house until I was able to see the psychologist which I showed him the post and told him the story. He agreed that it was stupid that I was put in there. But in Florida if the cops come for suicide stuff you either go voluntary or they will "baker act" you into the hospital and nothing you can do about it.

During this time I wasn't cleared to work but I was doing Pysical therapy and I had a gym membership at Planet fitness and I had a lot of time at the gym. I kept going to to tampa job hunting at least once a week.

When my sublet expired 8/1 I was talking to a family friend and she offered me a spare room for a little while until I could get going. So I went to her house with her 19 year old kid and 14 year old. I kept looking for jobs, had interviews but nothing was offered. I wasn't until I got my current job, (which I am sure I will be fired because someone will make sure they get me fired on here) that I felt somewhat confident that things were finally starting to turn around. I paid off my car in july, so the only bill I had at the time was my phone bill. The family friend that I was staying with was going through a divorce and things were bad. I never had any interest in her but she and the hubby made up and he thought I was making a move on her. I did get a gym membership at a local gym (by the way that I dont have anymore) but it was a god send. I wasn't to get paid and thats when I posted on here. I was living in my car for a bit, showering at the gym in the morning and going t
o work, wash, rinse and repeat.

I had no intentions to start another GFM account until someone told me to. I did, I didn't expect to have such an amazing outpouring of support.

with your help I was able to get into my apartment, I only needed a little just so I could get in the apartment. I had a blanket and pillows and I was just going to sleep on the floor until I could get items bit by bit. but with the tremendous outpouring I was able to get items for the house. I didn't realize how much everything was going to cost, I had no towels, bowls etc.. I literally started over fresh. I didn't use the money for anything else except housing stuff.

The ring that she is wearing is one thing I was able to buy her from Maceys and it was like $75 which I didn't use money from GFM.

I can show proof of surgeries, none of those photos were faked, 100% real truth.

As for my tattoo on my leg, it's the german coat of arms, not the NAZI eagle.... but when you're on a rant you cant let little things like that get in the way of a good rant. I just wanted to point that out.

Yes I suck at hockey, that was the first time I played in nearly 8 years and I was bad, my team won one game and we were blown out in every game, completely outmatched from A to Z.

I started this thread to tell you guys and gals thank you and that I am truly thankful for all your support and help this year.

Now I'm sure I wont have a job soon so I need to be getting on that.
