I guess I'm the second person. I've loved Windows 8 after about the 10 minute mark once I got over the change. Fast, versatile operating system.

Windows 10 for Phone is not nearly as mature as Windows 10 for desktop just yet.
Windows 10 for desktop, even though I'm running nightly builds, is rock solid. Windows 10 for phone, put it on a secondary device. It's not like the Preview for Developers program in Windows Phone 8.1.

Launch date announced - July 29.
I haven't been running a preview, but have liked everything I've read. Anyone who has run the preview who didn't like it and won't be upgrading?

I realize you asked for people that won't be upgrading, but I have to say that I am really enjoying Windows 10 so far and will upgrade on release day.

I appreciate the input. It just seems like the general theme of the thread is positive, so I was wondering if there were any lurkers who had negative experiences.

Any issues with driver compatibility or things like that? I haven't played much at all with the RC but I really like what I see from Win10 and would like to upgrade right at launch, but I know with Windows 8 and virtually every release before that if you were a gamer you had to wait quite a bit until all the driver quirks were worked out before getting a good experience

Anybody have issues with Adobe reader on 10? I just cannot seem to get it to run.
Otherwise, for the most part 10 runs really well.
Crap, forgot about my one big complaint. Video playback sucks for me. Facebook or youtube videos, any imbedded video actually will stutter and play out of sync. Anyone else experience this?
Crap again. Hardware acceleration. D'oh.

Updating to 10 on several systems in the house the minute it is released. Heard lots of positive things and it's free, so why not?

There is one show-stopper for one of my devices (Samsung ATIV Smart PC 500T) with Windows 10, but in fairness, it's not related to Windows 10 - it has been a problem since the May updates for Windows 8.1.
It's the goddamn Realtek I2S Audio driver on the tablet. The machine will go into a never-ending process of initializing the audio device, choking on it, then trying to initialize the audio device again. In order to get the damn thing to boot, you have to go into the recovery tools, open the Command Prompt, and delete / move the rtii2sac.sys file from the \Windows\System32\Drivers folder.
So be weary if you've got any devices rocking a Realtek I2S device, it won't work with Windows 10 or a Windows 8.1 installation patched after May until Realtek gets their crap together.

Yup. I noticed that at home as well when I turned on our media computer. I went through and entered my email to get notified. But it still sits there. Guess it's going to me there for 2 months now.

Of course. I'm just surprised that Microsoft decided to leave it there after you go into it and do what they want you to do.

Not me, I'm posting from a laptop running 10130 on it right now. I've also
received notification that my two other computers will get free upgrades.

Ran the Windows update service. Still no Windows 10 notification.
Not sure what to do.

And a huge pile of feces if you're running Server 2012.

Reason why the tray icon remains is because that's also how you cancel your Windows 10 upgrade reservation, IIRC.
