1.) i watch tons of movies that i rent from telus and apple tv but both of these options are expensive - is there a cheaper way to legally rent movies in canada?
2.) amazon and vudu seem to have tons of movies available to rent online - what i dont understand is how to rent a movie online and then watch it on my tv - do i need to hook up my computer to my tv? - can i download a movie to my computer and then plug it into my tv somehow with a thumb drive or something?
i just learned that vudu and amazon.com movies are not available in canada - i would have to get a US IP address and watch illegally - that sucks - anybody aware of any legal canadian options that have tons of movies selection other than apple tv and the tv providers like telus
Netflix is probably the way to go for what you're looking for. It's not a complete anthology of movies, but there are some great options as well as TV series'. You're probably not finding a better legal source of movies.
For Netflix, you will have to buy an 'unblock' account so that you can get your IP moved to another country.
Reason for this: Canada Netflix does not have as many movies available compared to other countries like USA etc.
