Pilon is someone I have liked for a while. I'm hoping he will be there in the 2nd round for the Flames. Mobile 2-way dman, sign me up! Has almost a point a game in his 2nd year in the dub.
This Blomqvist kid who plays for the Warriors must be 10 feet tall.
They have him playing against Klimchuks line. He towers over every one else on the ice. Im trying to get a photo of them battling.
Morgan really plays a complete game. His line is pretty dominant.
Provorov and Pilon are a good defense pairing for the Wheaties. They transition to attack really well.
Provorov has friends or family from Russia here. Came by and smiled to their kid during warmup. He has a Russian flag mouth guard. Not sure why i noticed that. Might be the 2.99 beer.
2-1 after one period
Shots were 13-1 at one point but Warriors woke up and finished down on shots 14-13.

Morgan and Eric just joint won the hardest working player of the month award.
They each got a Ryobi sweater.
2-3 Wheaties trail after two. I thought it was going to be a blow out for the Wheaties after the first 10 minutes of the game. Shots favour the Warriors 26-25.

Klimchuk picks up 4 points in the last two games of the season to finish with 80 points in 60 games, which is actually a slightly higher PPG than last season - that looks great considering his slower start.
In the first half of the season: 33 points in 31 games (1.06 PPG)
In the second half of the season: 47 points in 29 games (1.62 PPG)

Klimchuk I don't think was going to be one of those "Makes his line mates better" kind of players but a "plays better with better players" kind of players. I'm sure he'd produce points lined with plugs but he's going to shine when lined with skilled players.
I have a feeling he's going to be lights out paired with Bennett.

Do you see a Klimchuk-Bennett-Poirier line in the future?

yup. The sentiment at the draft was that he's a complimentary player who fits in well on whatever line you put him on. The TSN comparison was Steve Larmer and they expected him to break into the NHL in 2016-17. The latter still seems spot on today.
Around the 4 min mark.

80 point season combined with a hardest working award is the kind of thing I like to see as this kid isn't going to take anything for granted and isn't going to try and get by on skills alone. Would sure make that Iginla trade look a lot better if this kid could become a player for the Flames.

Klimchuk is a solid prospect. I have to think he's one of the reasons Baertschi became expendable.
He'll be a really solid 2nd liner who scores timely goals. He already plays a solid 2-way game and he has a great attitude.
How could Klimchuk have made Baertschi expendable three years ago and at the same time fail to appear in a single NHL game five years after he was drafted?
Annnnnd this is why one doesn't quote posts from 2015. Sorry, FZ.
