No disagreement at all. Popularity during nationalistic events really doesn't mean much other than how much people root for their country.

not the top two nhl markets...Chicago, New York, and Boston get the best ratings...LA has a large population but doesn't get the TV ratings of the others. And NY getting their asses kicked didnt help ratings...if it went to 7 you would have seen 10M
on the topic of soccer more and more young people are playing and getting into it. Way more kids play soccer than hockey in canada, sport is growing big time not to mention immigration
