I hope the Jets can hold on, and defeat Anaheim. It would be a huge win for the team.

No worries, you didn't jinx it.
Huge win indeed, who'd have thought the Jets of all teams would be the ones to end that gargantuan home winning streak?
That being said, I still see the Ducks as a paper tiger. I'd much rather be ranked 8th if the playoffs started today, than have to play the Hawks or Blues. Or even the Kings, really.

Haha Jets must be on a tiny winning streak because the Jets fans are back. These guys get more easily excited then Oiler fans.

The powerhouse Jets are now a measly 8 points out of a playoff spot!
If only they were still in the East, where they'd be in ... 13th ... place.
... oh

We should have canned Noel in November. The Jets are 4-0 with Maurice as coach. Chevy pulled the trigger too late.

It's cool that you guys won a few, but you realize that this happens all the time right? Coach gets fired, team strings a few wins together, then goes back to what they really are. Don't get fooled.

Noel was an AHL coach. He could not cut the mustard as an NHL coach. Maurice will lead the Jets to the playoffs next year. You ahve no idea how lost the players were, under Noel's system.
As an optimist, I can see the Jets going 20-7-4 for the remainder of the season, to finish with a record of 43-30-9, just shy of the playoffs.
We have already eclipsed expectations, since joining the NHL in 2011-12. The naysayers predicted we would be the least desirable market to play in. We are at worst, the 29th most desirable market to play in. Edmonton is #30.

This is almost sig-worthy. You wonder why this entire board makes fun of You and Jets fans so much?

No you haven't. Expectations were you'd be mediocre and you still are three years later. With a mediocre core signed long term.

Well congratulations on being second worst?
This has to be a troll post. Or are Jets fans actually this simple minded? A conference where the canucks are a bubble team, the Jets are somehow going to make the playoffs?
Jets fans are cute. Everyone smiles at them then laughs after they've walked away. And will continue laughing when they leave Winnipeg...again.

As a realist, I can see the Jets levelling back to around .500, finishing the season with 32–37 wins, which seems much more plausible than the laughably high .710 pace that you have projected for them. That's 20 wins with road games yet to play in LA, SJ (x2), Chicago, St. Louis (x2), Colorado, and Anaheim, and home dates against Vancouver (x2), LA, Colorado, Pittsburgh, and Boston. Really? What you are suggesting would require AT BEST a .500 record against these teams, accepting that they must win virtually all of their other games down the stretch.
Yeah. I don't see it. I don't even see anything close to it.

Well, the Jets are still here, so that's something, I guess.

As bad as Edmonton is—and this is considering that they are demonstrably the worst hockey team in the post-2004 lockout NHL—I'm not even convinced of that.

I realize it's *Calgary* puck but it's oot and the jets handed the Ducks their first home regulation loss. And it's 4 wins in a row with a new coach. We have the youngest team in the league and two players who can make a reasonable case for the Calder. It isn't champagne time but let us at least do an al gore and celebrate some good times.

Surely there is a "WinnipegPuck" you could frequent to boast about how heartwarmingly mediocre your team is? I know that a lot of you probably live in Calgary because as far as I know Winnipeg hasn't yet received the "Internet", but surely there must be other options.

In a rookie class that has players like MacKinnon, Krug and Barkov, no Jets rookie is even in the conversation for Calder. Nice try though!
edit: Nevermind, Scheifele seems to have put himself in the conversation since the last time I looked. And Barkov slowed down a lot. Still, it's gotta go to either MacKinnon or Krug if they keep this pace up.
