These days, there's really no reason to ever delete emails. I know it doesn't help your current problem, but it's definitely something you should consider in the future. Gmail has saved my ass a few times since I started using it all those years ago.

Good advice, though my gmail account gets about 30 spams a day as I used that account at one time for all online transactions, including the purchase of goods out of the far east. I've since made a new account which I only use for online purchases out of north america, but for the emails going to the old account, there's just no way to keep track of all the garbage. Hence the cut / paste/ save.

Isn't the point of gmail to not have to keep track. Search what you are looking for and ignore the chafe? or is it chaff?

It depends. If you'd liken unwanted email to a raw irritation on your skin, it's chaffe. If you'd liken it to the part of a grain plant that isn't good for anything and should be discarded, it's chaff.

I don't pirate music at all anymore. A subscrption to rdio and google music, along with Sirius XM gives me all the music I need. I really like rdio's option to download to the device and listen offline. Saves me a lot of bandwidth from listening on the road (which I do alot)
