They have the worst Coach and defense in the league, by far.

Avs may be the disgrace of the league...but all that means is that the Flames will take it easy on them.

What the NHL needs is a "relegation" concept, where the last place team doesn't have an incentive (a la the Oilers) to repeatedly throw their season in order to obatin the top draft pick. Instead, the last place franchise should be demoted to the AHL - while the top AHL team gets promoted to the NHL for the next season.
That way, these teams would actually have something to play for and the repeated failures of the Flames' management wouldn't be rewarded.

Flames win this one tonight. Stays behind COL in the Seth Jones Sweepstakes. And the Flames end up drafting Nathan MacKinnon or Alecksander Barkov.

Really? Team hasn't finished in the bottom of the League ever and yet you choose to crap on Flames Management over EDM? Or CLB, NYI, FLA or any other Bottom feeding team the last fiver years? Because those teams have been sucking for so long that they never make it out of the basement

After reading about Sven in the herald today, I want too see how Hartley handles these guys for the remainder of the year. It seems like he destroyed his confidence. I don't think he's a young players coach, and we might need to move in a new direction coach wise.
The young players will need guidance, lots of teaching, strong fundamentals which means playing defense.
Very interested too see how the young players are treated rest of the way.

Joey MacDonald gets the start in net for the #Flames tonight.

Pat Steinberg@Fan960Steinberg48s
Brian McGrattan will not play tonight. #Flames will have to make another change with Baertschi returning. That'll be a game time decision

How are the lines going to be with Glenny back in the lineup tonight?

Would rather see Cervenka in, and Glencross given time to fully heal. Not sure why we are playing partially injured guys (Tanguay, Glencross, Backlund) when we are out of playoff contention.

Glencross should sit this game out and rest... its not like he'll make an impact on the team once he comes back. I'm hoping Hartley sees this and uses this line up.. hahaha.
Baertschi - Backlund - Cammalleri
Hudler - Reinhart - Tanguay
Stempniak - Stajan - Cervenka
Jackman - Horak- McGratton
Begin
Wideman - Giordano
Brodie - Sarich
Butler - Carson
Babchuk
MacDonald
Kipprusoff

my lineups would have been:
tanguay - backlund - cammalleri
baertchi - horak - hudler
glencross - stajan - stempniak
jackman - reinhart - begin
i think reinhart could be a good checker one day in the NHL, so not really a big deal for him to get energy line experience.

Matt Stajan looks fine for #Flames after suffering big hit in Vancouver. Hudler may not play now..Cervenka could come in ....

The Flames may not be tanking (which I'm against), but by playing MacDonald and potentially sitting Hudler, they aren't exactly working hard to increase their chances of winning either
