Kings Visit Whitehouse
Some non-Iginlatradetalk news:
http://www.latimes.com/sports/sports...0,535786.story
Quote:
During the visit, there could be some lobbying going on from a certain hockey coach who owns a sizable ranch in Alberta, Canada.
Kings Coach Darryl Sutter, born and raised in Alberta, said this month that he would like to ask Obama about the Keystone XL oil pipeline project, of which he is in favor. The proposed pipeline, which would run from Alberta to the Gulf Coast, has been a controversial flash point on both sides of the border.
And Penner's tweet:
Quote:
@Dustinpenner25: After careful consideration I've decided not to visit the White House today for political reasons LOL JK I'm not an idiot!Free trip? I'm in!

For a guy that hurt his back eating pancakes, i'm not sure Penner should be one to make fun of others.

The tweet was funny I see no problems with him cracking the joke at Thomas.

The worst part is he bobbled that joke worse than the puck in front of an open net. In the 3-1 loss we had against them, I mean.
Looks like I'm doing no better ... sigh.

So I'm assuming only the current Kings' roster participates while the previous teammates do not?

I was wondering how this works..
Do players who won the cup and are no longer with the team go as well?
Also, is it only for players who won the cup or is this just a visit from the current Kings team?

I think when Boston won the the cup, Kaberle got to go even though he wasn't with them anymore.

I imagine for current team, as well if a player that's not with team anymore but isn't an active player (aka free agent/retire), they go as well.

That is pretty cool but couldn't Dustin Brown have put some dentures in before heading to the White House?
