What did everyone think of the season 2 primiere of American Horror Story? I think I liked the start of season 1 a lot better.

I don't mind the new guy, David Pogue, but he is a little over the top goofy

Even better, however, Neil deGrasse Tyson will be doing an updated sequel to Carl Sagan's "Cosmos", starting sometime next year

Yeah I liked the start of last season better as well, but the good news is they are bringing back Dylan McDermott back to play some sort of role which should help out matters.

I don't now where they are going with the whole alien storyline though.

Spoiler!

Only I am having trouble with the HD channel today. I get sound but a blank picture . Hopefully it gets fixed by 8pm tonight.
As oilers_fan said, your box might be too old.

I believe this channel is MPEG4, and if you had an old motorola box like I did it did not support that format.

I ended up upgrading to gateway.

Guy's with Kids I think was the spot that Community was being held for but its ratings are actually improving.

This thread has certainly shown that people other than me have some weird tastes.

Two and a half men funny? The ugly sister in 8 Simple Rules hotter than Kaley Cuoco?

People should just all like what I do and things would be much better.

How the hell does Whitney get air time and Community gets the shelf.

Freaking 2 Broke Girls is better and that shows quality is up there with a horsecrap smoothie.

I think it is because she is a chick.

Not sure why unfunny and awful shows get to keep going because they are hosted/written/star a chick.

I think networks need to force feed shows with women involved for diversity reasons. Only way to explain awful shows like 2 broke Girls, the new girl, Whitney and anything involving Chelsea Handler.

I find it funny that New Girl stars Zooey Deschanel and is produced, written by her, yet the only funny bits on that show are from the three guys.

Whitney pairs better with Guys with Kids than Community does (because they're both awful).

I don't agree with that, I think she is funny and has some pretty good lines in the show. The "Schmidt" character absolutely steals the show though, they could pretty easily spin off a sitcom based around him alone.

Weird that she doesn't have a single writing credit.

Doesn't mean she doesn't write.

She has the occasional moment, but she is more annoying than anything else.

The information was still there, which despite deGrasse Tyson is the meat of the show, so I still really enjoyed it. The guy is certainly a little goofy but it was still Nova ScienceNow.

Can't wait for Cosmos, Canada02. Tyson has a lot on his table so you can see why he dropped out of hosting Nova.

Pogue is like a nerd-dad, I don't mind him.

His show on the periodic table elements was great.
