Default Upgrade WiFi on a Laptop

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone had upgraded the built in wifi on their laptop? I have built in single band wifi N. However, if it is easy an cheap enough, I would like to upgrade to a dual band chip. Even possibly one that supports my routers advanced features like three stream 450mbps.

I have a Sony VAIO EB series laptop.

I don't really want a USB stick either, since that is clunky for my use.

Anyone try this before?
