Great, so now whenever I go to CP I hear the smiley Central ad "say something" comes belching through my speakers, interfering with the radio I have on, and making anyone within earshot wonder, how work oriented productive, I'm being,
Anyway to stop that stupid ad from being heard?

The ad you speak of has been "empowered" with sound for months now... possibly even years. I know your pain all too well, DuffMan.

If you're running Firefox there are ways to "fix" the problem. They aren't encouraged, though, since it is those very advertisements that serve as the primary $ source to keep this fine forum up and running 24/7. It is not possible to choose which ads to get rid of; it's an all or nothing proposition (as far as I know).
