Does anyone know what's going on with channel 9 (Calgary) on cable?

It's been like that for a little while now. I can't help but stop there for about 5 seconds every time I flip by. lol, pretty weird.

Yup, during the holiday times Channel 9 always goes to fireplace mode...It'll be like that till the new year if I'm not mistaken. REALLY annoying, cuz it's something my aunt puts on all her TVs when we are over during the Christmas break.

Apparently it's channel 18 in Edmonton...I'm surprised Bell hasn't phoned me to offer the fireplace for like $5 a month if I sign up for a 10 year contract.

Haha me too, I put my TV on "sleep" mode and it was just like camping.
If I were mayor of TV Land i'd have a fireplace channel year long!

I have an odd habit of watching that channel whenever I pass it. I don't know why I just get a kick out of a couple of burning logs. I actually came to realize it isn't a continual loop but rather they have repeats of burning logs.
Very few highlights though.

I already have the video ("fireplace in a box"). It puts out FAAAAAARRRR more heat than the TV version!

yup, you hear some weird shuffling and then BAM some pale hand chucks a log onto the fire. This morning he dropped it and had to put it back in (I do not watch this thing around the clock, was just flipping through and watched the guy change the logs)

My mom watches that log all the time.. she keeps telling me how she'll ome back to it and they've changed the log.. all she wants to see is the person who changes the log..
