Yes we are heathens but one of these containers of minced garlic lasts us all year.

We home cook nearly every meal and use garlic very frequently.

Late reply I know, but, a friend of my wife's family owns a very high end well regarded restaurant in town. We went for dinner and were given a tour of the kitchen. The first thing I noticed was the chef scooping that stuff out of the jar into a saute pan.

I didn't feel so bad about my culinary skills after that, as I go through a couple jars a year making sauces, stews, chili etc...
