I've heard some purists go so far as the say the NLCS is the real World Series, because the AL is not "real baseball".
I don't go that far, and don't see a huge difference between the two leagues.
Personally, I just prefer the NL rules. I like the strategic choices managers have to make. I like that every player has to hit. A pitcher that can hit like MadBum is so valuable. The emphasis on HRs does not impress me. I like a bit of small ball.
A HR should be an achievement - now they seem so cheap.
