Damn if only for his body holding him back, I bet he wishes he was in control of it.

Pretty hilarious; it's pretty clear this guy just doesn't care enough.

When you have a guy like, say, Craig Conroy, who is 37 and has dealt with injuries for years, and is beating some of the young guys in fitness tests, there's no excuse for 25-year-old Kyle Wellwood to be out of shape.

Wellwood has skills and I enjoyed watching him when he was at TO... but it seems he has no commitment or work ethic after he suffered the injury.

Finished, he's not good enough to take liberties with his conditioning, and injuries aside, most teams find away to help their players work out around injuries.

Wellwood is going to be an exceptional top 6 forward for the Macoun Whoopie of the WCHL.

At least he is starting to improve upon his conditioning, it obviously isn't where it should be for a professional athlete (granted he is likely in better shape than anyone posting in this thread). For the Canucks sake hopefully he continues to improve because if he does he could be an effective player for the team, but I wouldn't bet money that he makes any significant improvements.

Seriously though, what's the protocol in a situation like this? Can they void the contract?

Or is he off to Winnipeg for an extended conditioning stint?

The notion of Cody Hodgson winning the 2nd line centre position looks to be going from hope to necessity.
