Did this five years ago, thought it might be interesting again. Always fun to see younger fans and older fans arguing over different generations in a battle.
Will put one up a day whenever possible.
Have fun! and Go old guys!
How it works:
I pick off a key group of players for each jersey. I don't use every name, as that gets tedious and unnecessary (probably go with say 5 unless there are many that wore the same number).
I also don't put up a guy for the number he isn't known for (Iginla shouldn't win #24 for example)
Bourgois though made quite the impression in the Battle of Alberta. He auditioned to be the #2 goon on the team and was successful (after a run of many other choices who got worked by Semenko, Jackson, McLelland et al). He won a couple against Semenko and gave Hunter some much needed support. Now Hunter wasn't alone in having to respond every time Baxter and Peplinski lost a scrap.
Was also quite the character off ice.

that's what I remember about Bourgeois, too. I think the Flames should always carry at least one Maritimer on the main roster to keep things loose.

Regehr is my favorite defenseman of all time. I felt like he was hired to assassinate Hemsky on the ice every time he saw him. I miss him a lot, we need a 3/4 shut down defenseman like him on our team.

Regehr was the first Flames prospect that I really paid attention to when I first started cheering for the Flames. It was at the time of his accident. The fact that he came back from that and had the career he did was amazing. I can't say for sure, but I feel like I was happier seeing him lift the Cup than I would be seeing Iggy lift it at this point. He was just a silent warrior for this organization.
The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
