And Luke Hughes has been utter steaming bull crap tonight. Directly responsible for Rags goal #2 and nearly cost his team another goal a relatively short time ago with another horrific turnover on the PP.

Njs time to make the trade, at least in season, was few weeks ago when first reported. It makes less sense as they slip out of the race, as their issues appear more than goaltending and giving up more assets than they wanted to weeks ago seems less likely.

No points for Ovechkin, but, the Capitals defeat the Lightning 5-3.
The Hurricanes score the only goal with nineteen seconds left in regulation time to win 1-0. Kotchetkov made 44 saves to get the well deserved shutout. The Panthers did score three minutes earlier, but, it was offside.

I'm hoping they shut Hughes, Meier and Sigenthaler down so they can get whatever surgery they need to get done now so they are ready to go for 24-25.
Tell Dougie not to worry about coming back.
Trading assets to try to sneak into the playoffs when the issues are far beyond goaltending is a firable offense IMO.
Conroy will need to find another dance partner.
