At the end of the day he's a middle six forwward and those guys have streaks.
I'd argue the majority of stars have streaks too. Being on decent powerplays just masks it

Seems like teams that pick first often have high picks for a draft or two after that. Flames are still a year or two away from being bad enough to get that first. So we'll be lucky if the team is starting to see light at the end of the tunnel by the time the arena is done.
Exactly my point. That would be a great year to be in the bottom 5. Even if that first season is a rough one, if a player like McKenna is wearing the jersey, the team will be exciting to watch

Flames need to go back on the road ASAP! They seem more relaxed when playing away from the Dome.

And just to be clear. As a long-suffering Flames fan, I'm just busting your chops a little. When you're a kid hockey is supposed to be fun and sometimes we adults take it a little too seriously.

I'm notoriously guilty of it.

But this team...my God this team...its like they've turned cynicism and suffering into some sort of Art Form.

When you're pushing MY limits? You gotta dial her back a bit.

Anyways...nothing to do with you. I use dark humour and scathing sarcasm as coping mechanisms.

Like after 5-0 losses.

Sure, but my point is that if he wasn't a guy that goes cold for several games at a time, he'd be a top line guy. He's not. But it doesn't mean he's checked out or anything.

No one scored last night, and IMO Sharangovich had as many good chances as anyone else.

I'm glad I missed yesterday's game. I wasn't paying attention to the schedule and just assumed that a Saturday game was at 8pm.

Does anyone know if there's a way to see the Flames' record in matinee games, both (or either) just this season, and over a several season sample size?

Having a debate with my buddy, I feel we're historically usually bad in matiness, which he disagrees with. Would be nice to see the actual data.

It’s when a player stops getting chances that you need to worry.

Most player slumps are based more on missed opportunities than less chances.

If you include the 5pm start in Edmonton they are 1-5 this season in early games.

The Red Wings had their A game going and the Flames couldn’t get any traction against them. Typical bipolar game for them. The effort was there so Meh. Next

They maybe proffesional sportsmen, but there was a team waiting for the trade hammer to fall. They need to get these trades done and move on.
