Final Fantasy 14 Online

Final Fantasy 14, which is an online version like 11, was released today.

11 bombed of course and this one looks to be more competitive with the MMORPG leader out there that is of course World of Warcraft.

Anyway, has anyone else checked this out? Even bought it? Would love to know some opinions. Looks pretty, but not convinced on the class system. Being able to have so many classes on one character seems silly to me.

I'm a huge FF lover though, and would be interested in giving this a try. The only one I didn't really play was 11. I've been with the series since the very first one and even played the Japanese games through emulation.

Anyway, keeping it short until some discussion pops up.

I'm pretty tentative about this game right now. I actually had it pre-ordered and decided to cancel based on poor reviews coming out of the beta.

Right now I'm waiting for the first full reviews to trickle in, but unfortunately they aren't that great so far.

Rumors are that it's made in China for a Chinese audience hence the playtime restrictions and many other odd features.

If you are looking for a game that hands you everything, like WoW, you will not like the game.

The game has amazing graphics and presentation, but the gameplay is really disappointing. The class system is just ######ed.
