Silver lining with Flames mini slump is that hopefully they peak again when they hit the playoffs. Everything resets once the playoffs start.

That said, I really hope they win tonight and are able to score some goals. Yotes playing well lately, but there's no reason Flames should lose this one unless they beat themselves (or the refs screw them again).

Just win baby! Smith needs a bounceback game, Flames need to get the mojo going on offence. A few power plays would be nice.

Wonder if we see Lazar get in on the back to back.

GFG!

Ugh...I don't know if I can do it tonight..three straight games of donkey punch-feeling games, getting sick of going to bed feeling super frustrated. May need to take the rest of the week/weekend off from em, start fresh next week. They've really affected my mood the past week lol, need a brief respite

Tkachuk better bring it again. Since the Matthews signing he prob has cost himself $15-$20mil.

This is the major problem. Scoring can help overcome goaltending gaffs; the goalies have been left to defend wins lately. Let's not get in that habit. This could get concerning.

Calgary 3-1, with Tkachuk, Backlund and Gio scoring tonight.
To add insult to injury, Flames have run into stellar goaltending lately, Markstrom, Dubnyk, Andersson and Fleury.

Its not like they haven't had dangerous scoring chances.

I would, he would play for 88 or 27 if it was up to me.

Nah Frolik can sit. He seems to have mailed it in after the Trade Deadline when his name was brought up.

-Matthew Tkachuk has 112 points in 135 games over 2 seasons (0.83 points/game) prior to his next contract thus far.

-I think you might be able to get Tkachuk somewhere between $7.2M and $7.5M over 6 years.

What you do all think of Darcy Kuemper? Would he be a nice fit with the Flames? Asking because I've got a some info saying he would have been a Flame last year or quite possibly this summer.

And no, its not from that Orange Julius s****.. haha.

Yes, we're still in first place and have a handful of home games coming up and a lighter schedule, but a loss tonight would definitely trigger my panic mode and thoughts of a second place finish would be cemented.

It's the start of another 5+ game winning streak tonight, with scoring and goaltending coming together to create the perfect (fire) storm for the Flames.

The lack of foot speed of Monny and Tkachuk are obvious reason that they cannot drive a line on their own. I really hope they juggle the line up to add speed to the top two lines. All Guadreau can do right now is to skate into the offensive zone, stop, wait for the others till they catch up. Every attempt to pass was broken up by the defence of the opposing team.

They really need to change the game plan there.
