2020 is the Flames' year, unless my math is wrong or it's impossible to predict sports with perfect accuracy. It might even be both or neither, or all of them, or fate or an existential dilemma!
It could also be 42 (minus the cancelled season).

The part that I realized when reading the title is I have been old enough to enjoy all 4 of those series wins and was too young to really care what happened before 1989 (too young to enjoy 1989 as well).

When Sutter took over in 2003 I started becoming an avid Flames fan again, I always was one but spent years cheering for the Avalanche - Sakic, Forsberg, Roy, Bourque - because I needed to cheer for someone in the playoffs and the Flames weren't good enough.

I think the fact that key guys like Gaudreau, Monahan, Backlund and Bennett were part of the last playoffs series win is a positive and our team has only gotten stronger since then.

If goaltending stabilizes I think we can make some serious noise this year.
