Default Shaw NHL Centre ICE

I got a call from Shaw about NHL Centre ice being in HD and needing new equipment and to call them for details.

I honestly didn't pay too much attention, but just looked it up on the Shaw website, and found this....

http://www.shaw.ca/en-ca/ProductsSer...LCentreIce.htm - basically saying you need better equipment to get NHL centre ice this year (seems to me that NFL Sunday ticket was the same)

it's because NFL and NHL Center Ice games are broadcast in MPEG-4 format, which the older boxes don't support. if you're an NHLCI subscriber though you can call Shaw and they'll swap your box for free to a newer model (which can also solve problems like the HD audio cutouts and PVR playback issues). if you can, try to get the Motorola DCX3400, as it's the best box of the group (only if you already have an HDPVR though)

Haha..I swapped my box the other day and I've had nothing but issues since. They are actually coming over on the weekend to check things out. They better bring that Motorola with them.
