Clare Bronfman sentenced to 81 months
One of the heirs to the Seagram Liquor fortune, and a senior member of the noxious NXIWM cult that sexually exploited woman, blackmailed them and forced them to brand themselves. The prosecutor and defense asked for 60 months, the judge rightfully said it wasn't enough.

Keith Raniere - pleaded guilty and will be sentenced next month and Allison Mack who was in Smallville also plead guilty and will be sentenced this month. Both are facing life sentences for their role in the cult

There is an HBO documentary (also on Crave) out now called 'The Vow' which goes over this and is pretty interesting (mostly because they filmed everything they did, basically, so there's a crazy amount of footage giving a pretty in depth look into how the place worked, which you don't often get from cults/MLMs/whatever you want to call this).
Also a CBC Uncover podcast that came out earlier, which is a very good listen if you're interested in the NXIVM story as well (best to listen to before watching 'The Vow' IMO).

I said "cults". By that I meant anyone who uses lies, deceit, and emotional manipulation tactics to lure significant numbers of people into taking up causes that result in harm to themselves and/or others and/or the world in general. So most of the things you listed there are not possible without the kind of large-scale deceit that I described.
