So, Rittich has to be getting a contract more than Talbot's 2.75m/year, no?

Not sure. He's not as accomplished a player as Talbot.

So glad TSN kept Talbot on hold for a while to talk to him for 15 seconds... TSN is garbage.

Interesting that Talbot and his family have made Edmonton their permanent home. Because of that, it sounds like Calgary was definitely his first choice.

So as soon as the presser is over, Wills comes on and starts talking about all the improvement we will see from Neal and Czarnik next year.
It's not that they guy is such a homer (he is the home team PBP after all) but his sense of timing is just off.

Well, Treliving mentioned having improvement on the RW internally, both from existing RWers and possibly moving players to that position (Tkachuk?).
Wills explained that when Treliving said that, he thought of 2 names and talked about Neal and Czarnik. I think that's a fair point, whether they're capable or not.

Listening to Wills is completely useless. His opinion is essentially so unbalanced it’s irrelevant.

Yeah, I don’t mind Wills for his play-by-play but some of his takes are just awful.

Last year was ridiculous.
Wills was to Smith as Jimmy Fallon is to every guest.

Sounds like it was the Flames most successful UFA day under Treliving. The less you do on July 1st the better.

Gotta give Treliving credit for being a smooth talker. On the Fan interview with Steinberg, he slyly phrases it as the Flames having signed Talbot *because* Smith left and moved up to Edmonton.
Well played sir.
