I wasn't planning on getting new phones as our S10+ devices are still really solid and do everything that they need to. But I went in to Telus to get our EPP plans changed as they have a Black Friday and I could save a few bucks per month on each line. But I found out that Telus EPP also started a BF device sale and I was able to add the Pixel 6 on each line for $15 per month plus $135 at the end of two years ($495 total device cost) so I figured why not.

Yeah on my Pixel 3 the USB-C port was basically toast after a year. I mostly use a wireless charger but meant I had to bring the wireless charger with me travelling instead of using a cable.

Have a bit of a dilemma here fellas.
Managed to destroy the screen on my Pixel 3XL by dropping it face down on a concrete sidewalk. Whatever it hit was taller than the curb on the Spigen case I use.
What do I do? Pay the $170 to replace the screen or buy a Pixel 6 pro. I don't have the cash for the new phone right now, but using a phone with a smashed screen is painful.
Would this phone be worth more than the cost of the screen replacement? Ie if I got the screen replaced, would I get $200 for it?

I don't think you could, if you a buy a new phone from Google or Samsung they are only willing to give a trade-in credit of about $45 for a good condition Pixel 3 XL.

In my opinion, if the screen is the only issue you have with the Pixel 3 then you should replace it and keep using it. I would still be using my Pixel 2 if it was just a battery or screen I had to deal with.

If I didn't already have one I'd take you up on it. You can put Android 12 based operating systems on it.

Does anyone have a suggestion for an online retailer to sell my used Pixel 4? I live outside Calgary and feel trying to Kijiji this would be more effort than it's worth.

If you are familar with ADB you can enter the following commands to revert the "Internet" quicksetting tile to the old school "wifi" and "mobile data" tiles.
Run the following commands from an ADB shell
settings put global settings_provider_model false
settings put secure sysui_qs_tiles “wifi, cell,$(settings get secure sysui_qs_tiles)
and to revert to default.
settings put global settings_provider_model true
settings put secure sysui_qs_tiles "internet,$(settings get secure sysui_qs_tiles)"
If you want to install ADB and give it a whirl.

I need a new phone (unlocked). Preferably Samsung or Apple, my work doesn't really play well with a lot of other phones. Does anyone know of any screaming good deals on any such phones given that it's boxing day / week sales coming up? I'm not picky.

You can pickup a Galaxy A52 for under $500 @ Staples. Don't think they'll be getting much cheaper for boxing week. That's still a lot of phone for the price.
