They worked at A&B Sound downtown? They probably helped me more than once then.

I literally had a monthly budget item for A&B Sound CDs back in the day.

Me too. I was probably down there at least once a week back in the day. There was also a Sam the Record Man across the street for a few years. I believe those two stores were competing with each other at one point, but my memory is fuzzy. Anyone remember when Sam’s closed down?

Before 2007. According to Google Maps it was a Subway by then.

Megatunes was where the cool kids bought music.

I lived right around the corner from there for a couple of years. Great little shop.

Clea DuVall was on Marc Maron's podcast this week and talked about the show. Marc really loves the show. It's worth a listen.

She brought up that it was filmed in Calgary and Marc mentioned that he'd also eaten at the Blackfoot Diner. But he also brought up the "Texas of the North" stereotype with all the big trucks and oil guys.

I don't know if that stereotype is all that incorrect, though? Bill Burr brought up the exact same thing and we do have all the Oil types here and there are trucks everywhere.

I don't think it's incorrect either but there are definitely folks in Alberta who get up-in-arms when someone outside the province says that about us.

But this debate doesn't belong in here.

DuVall also mentioned that they haven't confirmed a 2nd season yet. I'm hoping we get another because it's a great show. So much more grounded than something like "Euphoria" which would be considered in the same genre of teen drama.

I was disappointed when I heard that, as the season ended on a cliffhanger and left everything wide open. DuVall mentioned that the book ends right after they graduate high school and sign a record deal, so hopefully they'll get at least one more season to wrap up the story.
