He left out Metropolis, M, Battleship Potemkin, and the Cabinet of Dr Caliagari so dont worry
You're idea of comedy is a little weird. But I support that.

It's amazing to me that Hot Fuzz isn't being mentioned as a candidate for best comedy of the 00s. Maybe it's just exactly my brand of humour, but it's the only comedy from any era that I can watch every year and still find as funny now as I did a decade ago.

Step Brothers is really up there right now for me. It's one of those movies that seems to just hold up. Contemporaneously, I probably wouldn't have had it in my top 10 for 2000s, with movies like Supertroopers, Old School, Superbad, Napoleon Dynamite, and Anchorman way ahead. Now though, Step Brothers may have the #1 spot.

It's hard to be Superbad as one of the best coming of age comedies ever made. My brother graduated high school in the 90's, I graduated in '01, my nephew graduated in 2010, and the movie related so well to all of us

I would probably give the nod to Sean of the Dead over Hot Fuzz

Just watched the movie Pig. What a weird and wonderful little film. You start off thinking it's gonna be some kind of John Wick-style revenge flick, but then it takes a left turn and ends up being something totally different. Outstanding performance from Nic Cage.

Saw M Knight's latest "Old" in theatre. Truly a disastrous movie.
At the very least the skeleton is there for an interesting movie but the execution was just such a mess it's hard to find much to praise. The ending was sort of interesting I guess?
Gael Garcia Bernal and Thomasin Mackenzie are great actors. In this movie, they are not.

The only things that date it for me is the laminate fake ID and the skid who has to borrow the landline. Otherwise there are so many things that are spot on. The way they chase girls. The awkwardness of being at an older person's party, etc...
