We have always been playing with fire hoping Gio sustains his level of play this late in his 30's. It's now bit us in the ass, he's not a no.1 anymore and it hurts to say. One of my faves to play on the Flames over the last 15 years

I could live with that, on its own. However, it is also their strategy to put the puck along the boards every time they get it. Unfortunately, because they are all collapsed in the middle of the ice, they never get to those pucks.

I thought he sold it pretty well. It just feels so bad when I’ve seen guys literally skate straight up to the crossbar and lift the net off with both hands and not get called.
