Damn, this man can SING

The first minute and a half of the song Bat Out of Hell has no repeating parts, I've never seen anything else like it in popular music, it's like they found a way to turn cocaine directly into music.

Super combo (two of America's and Mexico's greatest bands) - Los Lobos with Cafe Tacuba.

Bandcamp is again waiving their revenue share today. Many artists are also donating their proceeds to good causes. Go buy some music!

Bad Luck by the band Royal City, the pride and joy of Guelph, Ontario along with The Constantines.

I've never seen this video before...It's pretty cool.

I hate to revisit old music so often, but after the living and watching what occurred the last week or two in the States, I have to go back to this classic. It really needs deep consideration.

I have to be honest, I weep every time the line "As I walk on, through troubling times, my spirit gets so downhearted sometimes. So where are the strong? And who are the trusted? And where is the harmony?"

There are very few songs that reach me like this one does. I hope that anyone seeing this post just stops for a moment and listens to this song. We all need a dose of these thoughts in our lives.

I never clocked that the video was recorded in Vancouver, its weirdly precient seeing as he ended up living here

I'm kind of mad at myself for not listening to this group before this morning:

I was listening to a live Sonic Youth album and Jim O’Rourke joins them to sing this song:

It’s dark and funny and oddly sweet.

This is the live album:
