Finished the entire season of Hunters yesterday (yeah, I had nothing to do). Terrific show, looking forward to the next season! The young Nazi in that series is creepy as ####.

The Kids in the Hall to Return to Amazon With New Episodes
Quote:
The funny Canadian boys known as the Kids in the Hall are returning to our TV screens soon! Amazon announced today that The Kids in the Hall, the Canadian sketch-comedy show that originally aired from 1989–1995, is returning to the streaming network with eight all-new episodes. All of the original troupe members — Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson — are slated to return for the new batch of episodes, and Lorne Michaels is attached as executive producer.
For all you Battlestar Gallactica bros, I suggest Farscape. It's easily my favourite from what I consider to be the golden age of sci-fi tv in the late 90's to early oughts. Thrilling plots, brilliant characters and Jim Henson puppets! And it's on Prime. I think about it all the time.

Battlestar, Farscape, Firefly, about 2 seasons of Andromeda were good, the sadly never given a chance Odyssey 5, Lexx, Dark Angel, the first season of Lost....
2000 to 2005 was kind of a banner time for sci-fi television, and that's coming on the tails of X-files and Buffy/Angel.
There's probably about a 1000 hours of viewing that I would consider wellspent, and I'm not sure what that says about my life choices.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Does Farscape complete it's full story arc?
I see that it's 4 seasons. I don't want to jump in only to find out that it was cancelled prematurely.
Without providing any spoilers, does it come to a satisfying conclusion?

I often do a series rewatch for my favorite TV shows after they end, but Farscape is one of the rare ones that I've rewatched more than twice. Throwing a modern day guy into a sci-fi world of aliens and spaceships was such a fantastic idea, having Crichton reference Star Trek and Star Wars during all of the crazy #### that happens to him never gets old. I'm not sure if you could find another show that did so much with such a small budget

Without trying to spoil anything it was cancelled a little prematurely... but loose ends are mostly tied up by a mini-series that came about a little later because the fans were so agro about it being taken off the air. So fear not on that front. There's loads to sink your teeth into. Not worth missing out on on that account.

I got into watching some old episodes of Unsolved Mysteries last night. That show freaked me out as a kid, with the Son of Sam being the stuff that really wigged me out.

Growing up, that was on a particular night of the week (Wednesdays?), and that was the night that this 12-year-old get left at home alone. My dad was teaching a night class or something, and my mum was taking my sister to air cadets.
It totally freaked me out, but I couldn't stop myself from watching it because I found it all so interesting. I remember turning all of the blinds shut and turning on all of the lights. Robert Stack was a perfect host/voice for the show as well.
