Hedman got his last year, Burns two years ago. Rielly played himself out of contention.

And judging by numerous posts by hockey bloggers, pundits and media types from all over (even Toronto), as well as endorsements from his peers, it seems the secret is finally out. Our captain is the best overall defenseman in the league.

He will likely be handed the Norris on June 20th. I hope that is the second (or third) trophy he hoists in June.

I can't imagine they would leak it before the NHL awards, let alone to a random sportscaster. Perhaps she had "Norris Trophy candidate" on her mind and realized she botched it and tried to awkwardly recover.
