If we trade with Dallas, can we please get D Tristan Bertucci back as one of the pieces? Love that kid.

Tom Harley would be amazing, but he ain't going anywhere.

The team definitely needs more D prospects.

Dallas has a ton of good prospects, they've done an amazing job drafting.

Y
They are the best trade partners really. Great prospects, have a 1st rounder, and will then have a good chance of knocking out the oilers and canucks.

Win win

Can we all agree that Tampa at this time is a weird preferred destination (if you ignore any personal connections)?

Their elite core is aging and the team is past their peak. They don't have a 1st round pick for the next 2 years and no 2nd round pick this year. They have a crummy propsect pool according to the Athletic. And if weather is your concern - there are a bunch of teams in good weather climates that have a much brighter future in the next 6-7 years than Tampa based on their current outlooks.

Florida and New Jersey actually make sense. Younger teams and he is a younger player would be a good fit.

Tampa is aging like you said, going into a locker room with older players the fit seems off.

If hanifin did choose Tampa I’m pretty sure it’s not for the 6-8 year future. It would be to see if they can win another cup in the next couple of years. They have a #1 dman, #1 goalie, #1 centre and a superstar winger. He could do a lot worse than Tampa if winning the cup is his goal in next 2 years.

Live on the ocean, great weather year round, well run organization, best tax situation in the league. Tampa will be a preferred destination for a very long time- not matter how competitive they currently are.

I would imagine someone would be fine living through a rebuild in Florida more so than one in Western Canada. Still a ####ty trade partner for the Flames though.

There's a better city to live in (if you are rich) and team that is like a 4 hour drive southeast.

Apparently Bill Zito LoL'd hard at Friedman today after talking about Hanifin for Lundell. Saw it on Twitter relating to a Zito interview.

Maybe it was a nervous lol, like he knows Friedman knows what his plans are.

We're through the looking glass.

I don’t know if it’s legit. I looked for it and could only find one tweet from some nobody mentioning it. Zito was on a podcast with LeBrun but they didn’t talk about Hanifin or Lundell.

I did open the post with "Apparently". Intimating it was speculative.

Alright… so why be defensive when provided with additional info?

I don't think Zito can comment on another teams players anyways.

Huh? I don't understand. Was I being defensive? Didn't think I was.

Guess I have to listen to this interview now. Seems below Friedman, a GM would be fined for tampering if he commented on that. Laughing is about all you can do
