With a young team that has very good pieces everywhere through their lineup, except for in net, you'd think they'd pay the price for an actual goalie by moving out one of the players being rumored that they are currently playing in the bottom 6 because of their depth. Just strange. Conroy is only going to increase the price now and holds all the cards.

Fair, but the Flames are very bad too if you believe that advanced stats have at least some merit. The Flames should not be in the position they're in right now with the number of high danger chances against, etc. It's all Markstrom (he has the top save percentage in the league on high danger chances).

Yeah. It could make a difference if Markstrom plays out of his mind. These chances that they are bleeding are incredible though, worse than the Flames IMO.

Daws pulled and finishes with 0.692 sv%. Devils aren't making the playoffs but Marky isn't a rental either. This year's Markstrom is exactly what they need. Hope the deal still gets done.

Confidence is a funny thing, and nothing improves confidence like a hot goalie.

During the Oilers' 16 game streak, they went 14 games without giving up more than 2 goals. THE OILERS. Skinner got hot, and their confidence rose with him. Suddenly, everyone is playing better.

Of course for the Oilers, it was just a heater, propped up with a ridiculous schedule, and neither Skinner nor their defense were ever going to be able to maintain it, but the point stands.

Get the Devils a goalie, and you'll see a completely different team.
