As far as I know, Fox and his agent didn't just cut off all communication with the Flames. Gauthier's camp appear to be handling this like Grade A jerks.

Iggy grew up cheering for the Oilers and is the greatest Flames ever.

From Keith Jones comments, he seems pretty happy to have seen the back of this guy. Doesn't sound like they shopped him around too much. They were afraid of degrading value if rumour got out.

Trading a blue chip defense prospect for a blue chip wing prospect seems weird given the relative value of those positions but I haven't really been keeping up on Drysdale so for all I know he's Juolevi I guess.

Drysdale is excellent, but he’s got a history of injuries, plus- I wonder what his true ceiling is. Gauthier is going to be a top-line star, no doubt about it. Kid is a stud.
