How soon before they start setting Campbell's furniture on fire?

I love how Draisatl is predicting McDavid scoring more this year. I don’t know the exact quote on 32 Thoughts because I don’t care.
But… that should work out well, I mean it’s not like he gets injured when recklessly driving the net hunting goals.

In fairness Campbells kind of always like that from what I’ve seen of him. Just kind of an odd ball like goalies are.

Is there a link anywhere?
Between the 'collapse' and the 'Phantom Goal' there is a lot of Oilers chaff out there.

Dylan Holloway had only 22 points in 33 games last year in the AHL.
This year, he has only 2 points in 8 NHL games and is a -3.
Apparently he was good in the preseason. What in the world is Holloway doing in the NHL? Is the Oiler depth really that bad?
The Flames would never even consider promoting someone like this. Matthew Phillips is twice as productive and isn't getting a sniff.
Such a huge contracts between the two organizations.

They propped him up in the preseason as the next star alongside of McDrai so can’t go back now. The other problem is they need an ELC or a vet min to play in that spot due to their cap situation. Holloway should be in the AHL but he won’t be, typical Oiler process.

I thought Holland was famous for not rushing prospect. But here they are carrying out the most blatant example of rushing out of any player in the NHL. Even above Wright, I'd argue.

Games played in the last 5 years:
17/18: 28
18/19: 53
19/20: 35
20/21: 30 (including WJCs)
21/22: 33
And this year, he is playing 7.6 minutes per game
It is criminally bad player management to be this unaware about the player's situation, IMO - he should be playing top line minutes in the A.

He was up and down with Toronto. Played great at times but then looked bad suddenly, kind of what generally you expect from backups (although he would be somewhat of a high-end backup). Add to that his injury issues and never having played that many games in a season, that deal looks pretty bad right now. Especially term.

Well he should, but Kenny did such masterful work on their roster and cap that they needed someone with a pulse on an ELC just to make up the numbers.

This will come after they cheer for their own goalie to be injured, or at least those who can comprehend the salary cap
Or 20% of the Oiler fanbase +/- 5%.

I think this number is excessively high. Less than 20% of hockey fans actually comprehend the salary cap. In Edmonton that number is almost certainly in the low, low, low, low single digits. It may even be 0.

He’s a 1st rnd pick. How he wasn’t on the team last year baffled me.
