It's probably sacrilege around here, but I am not that hopeful with Wolf at the NHL level. So yeah, I would trade him for a top 10 pick easily.

They have! In 1990 they traded up with New Jersey so the Flames could draft Trevor Kidd 11th overall.

In typical Flames fashion however, the Devils used the Flames pick, 20th overall, to draft Martin Brodeur.

I wonder about this guy - Zayne Parekh.

He's a defenseman who's scored 30 goals. Only one other draft eligible defenseman has done that in OHL history (John Slaney way back in 1990). He's got 30 goals, 55 assists, 85 points. One point up on Brzustewicz in the OHL scoring race and they both are 20 points clear of the 3rd place guy.

In his OHL rookie season - he scored 21 goals and had 16 assists - a defenseman sniper evidently. In the playoffs that year - 6 goals and 3 assists.

The thought about Parekh is that he lacks defensive prowess and can be considered somewhat one dimensional; but I think that is a bit overblown, he’s a very skilled Dman at any rate and I’d be happy with the pick if we took him. Buium is considered the more complete Dman between the two.

Morreale is also one of two writers NHL.com has on the draft beat, the other being Adam Kimelman. But I have found their insights to be quite shallow and typically more skewed towards US players, particularly from the development program. So the fact that Eiserman is dropping on this list is telling.

I think you have 6 or 7 dmen going in the top 10 (maybe even 8). So then 3-4 forwards.
Eiserman is one. Lindstrom is 2. If a team like Catton or Iginla more than Eiserman I can see him slipping into the early teens easily.
